National Cheese Lover's Day is January 20th... What better way to celebrate than with this boozy cheese bread featuring Galleon's Golden Ale? Don't worry about seeming cheesy, that's the point!
Ingredients
4 ounces Swiss cheese
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
12 ounces of Galleon's Golden Ale
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°. Divide cheese in half. Cut half into 1/4-in. cubes and shred the remaining.
Combine the next 5 ingredients in a bowl. Stir Golden Ale into dry ingredients until it is moistened. Fold in cubed and shredded cheese.
Transfer to a greased 8x4-in. loaf pan. Drizzle with the melted butter.
Bake for about 50-60 minutes. Cool before removing from the pan.
